What is a Hardtail?

Hardtails for us are the origin of the work that we do. It's often the first MTB that you ride and the one that lasts the longest in your garage. This simple way to access the trails is the pared down answer to traversing the world.

To us, the hardtail is the simplest expression of the off-road bicycle and it is critical to get it right.

Our dropped stay design is unique in offering exceptional traction and really takes the sting out of those hard edged hits. The compliance is designed to improve traction and help drive the bike forward with the added benefit of a smoother ride.

The handling of each bike is carefully tailored to each rider through a series of interviews to understand what kind of experience you are looking for. This allows us to design geometry that lets the bike fade into the background as you ride and let you enjoy the trails the way you want to.
